The future piece of downloadable content for Remnant 2, titled The Awakened King, may be played in co-op multiplayer even if not all players possess the downloadable content, according to the developer Gunfire Games. On social media, the developer noted that players who do not purchase the downloadable content can still join gamers who do own it.
The disadvantage of this is that players who do not buy The Awakened King will not be able to utilize any of the new goods that they find on their travels in the downloadable content if they do not already have it. Players would have to purchase the downloadable content in order to get their hands on the new downloadable content goods.
The release date of PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S versions of Remnant 2: The Awakened King has been set for November 14. The announcement was made earlier this month. The downloadable content centers on the One True King, who awakens from a “near-death slumber” to find that he has been corrupted by the Root.
The downloadable material will include more zones, dungeons, and narrative elements. Players will also have the opportunity to unlock the Ritualist Archetype, which is a character who fights adversaries by utilizing status effects. In addition, the downloadable content (DLC) will include new weapon modifications, amulets, and rings.
