Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 debuted just a few days ago, so it’s still quite new when it comes to the fighting game genre. Nickelodeon wants to strike while the iron is hot, boasting about the ratings of its latest work.
The first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was a very successful experiment and allowed us to believe that, next to Super Smash Bros. and Brawlhalla, there is still room for a third platform fighter player on the market. Following the trend, the cult station ordered a second installment of its production and this time it focused on an even bigger scale.
Built around the flawlessly prepared foundation of its predecessor, Ludosity’s second installment features even more modes, maps, characters, and—for the first time—a fully functional story mode. To be fair, this approach appears to have worked, as the PlayStation 5 edition of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 boasts an average rating of 78% on Metacritic, something the game’s developers were happy to highlight in their most recent advertising materials.
