CD Projekt RED just surprised us very positively. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive official mod support and players will be able to create new stories in Andrzej Sapkowski’s universe.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting old, but the CD Projekt RED title is still very popular. Poles apparently want to use the potential of the community and an excellent project has just been announced.
Next year, CD Projekt RED will release an official mod editor. However, it will not be a simple program that will allow us to refresh the color of Geralt’s weapon – the developers will allow us to create more content.
We are happy to announce that we are working on a mod editor for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt! It will allow you to create your own adventures in the game, both from scratch and by modifying existing tasks and materials. We plan to publish it for free in 2024. Please be patient – we will provide more information next year.
As you are aware, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s creators have been updating the game for years, and some of the community’s contributions have even made their way into the next generation version. Nevertheless, CD Projekt RED made the decision to develop resources that would enable fans to finish brand-new missions and even whole new content.
Since fans will stick with the world, gamers will be able to grow The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and the core CD Projekt RED team will be able to work peacefully on developing the first chapter of the new adventure. All in all, this is a pretty excellent concept.
Although The Witcher 4 will take some time to complete, we can be certain that many fans of Andrzej Sapkowski’s universe will revisit The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the next year.
CD Projekt RED confirmed that the tools will only be available on PC.
