Naughty Dog has no luck with improved versions of its recent productions. The Last of Us Part I was leaked before the announcement, and now we know information about The Last of Us Part II Remastered. The game will be available to players in January.
We were probably supposed to get to know The Last of Us Part II Remastered at The Game Awards, but details of the game appeared on PlayStation Store. Tom Henderson presented the details and revealed the release date in Insider Gaming .
The Last of Us Part II Remastered will debut on January 19, 2024. This will probably be PlayStation Studios’ first production for next year.
In the official description, Sony emphasizes that this is a “full game for PlayStation 5”, and players can count on a number of improvements that will allow those interested to appreciate Ellie and Abby’s adventure:
Experience the winner of over 300 Game of the Year awards now with a host of technical improvements that make The Last of Us Part II Remastered the definitive way to play out the critically acclaimed story of Ellie and Abby.
What can we count on? Sony emphasizes that this is the “ultimate way” to experience the well-known adventure, and the developers have made many improvements – the creators have refined the graphics, we can play in 4K in the fidelity mode, loading times have been improved, and at the same time, full integration of the DualSense controller has been ensured.
Naughty Dog will encourage players to play roguelike mode:
No Return – roguelike survival mode
Experience the deep combat of The Last of Us Part II in an all-new mode! Survive as long as possible in each run by choosing your path through a series of random encounters. Play as a wide variety of unlockable characters, some of which have never been playable before in The Last of Us series, and each with unique gameplay features. The variety of challenges includes different enemies and memorable locations from throughout Part II, all culminating in tense boss fights.
The creators have also prepared additional levels, hours of commentary, and a special guitar mode.
