Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which is developed and published by Project Aces, has collaborated with the film Top Gun: Maverick in order to produce a unique Aircraft Set that includes aircraft from the movie. The collection includes six playable aircraft, two of which are variants of the F-14A Tomcat known as the Maverick and the original, which each come with six and eight skins, respectively. Additionally, there is the F/A-18E Super Hornet in both its original and Maverick iterations, each of which receives six skins; the 5th Generation Fighter from Top Gun: Maverick, which also comes with six skins; and DarkStar, a stealth fighter from the movie that also comes with six skins.
In addition, players will receive badges representing the VF-1 and the PHOENIX VFA-213, as well as two logos and five character emblems representing Maverick, Hangman, Payback, Rooster, and Bob. You also have the option to select 12 additional nicknames, some of which are Goose and Cougar.
As for what the future holds for Ace Combat, the team behind the game has revealed that they are working on a sequel using Unreal Engine 5.
