The video game Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, developed and published by FromSoftware, has received a lot of positive feedback from critics, but its sales remain a mystery. It became the second-biggest launch in the series and topped the weekly sales charts in Japan with over 163,000 units sold, however, the overall amount of units sold around the world is unclear. In Japan, it sold over 163,000 copies. On the other hand, the voice actor Ryo Shimokawa, who performed Pater (V.VIII), appears to be aware of this.
In a recent YouTube broadcast with actor Yasuyuki Kase, who voiced Rusty (V.IV) in the same game, Shimokawa stated that the mech combat title sold “around” 2.8 million copies. Kase provided the voice acting for Rusty (V.IV) in the game. It has not been confirmed by either FromSoftware or the publisher Bandai Namco, but if it is the case, it is a significant achievement that deserves to be commemorated, especially when one considers the length of time it has taken for a sequel to be made available.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon may be played on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and personal computers.
