One of Ubisoft’s major releases of the year is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which celebrates the stealth roots of earlier Assassin’s Creed games. However, neither gameplay nor even a release date have been revealed. Fortunately, it appears that the latter has been verified, thanks to Japanese shops.
Amazon Japan, Yodabashi, and Bic Camera have the PS5 version scheduled for release on October 12th, as reported by @Renka_schedule on Twitter. Japanese stores typically don’t date a goods until it’s official, as Gematsu points out. In other words, there are no placeholder dates. Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming has revealed an internal delay to October, even though Ubisoft hasn’t formally confirmed the release date.
The publisher’s next games will be featured at Ubisoft Forward on June 12th. There may be a gameplay reveal for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which could lead to the revelation of a release date. The release date might, however, be disclosed at the PlayStation Showcase, which is scheduled to begin at 1 PM PDT today. In the interim, keep reading.
