Was it worth waiting for the great return of the Assassin’s Creed series to its roots? Journalists’ opinions are divided, because although the list of ratings includes strong 10/10 and 9/10, there are also accusations that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the “worst installment in the history” of the entire series.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage currently boasts ratings of 76% (Opencritic) and 77% (Metacritic). However, if we look at the previous parts of the series, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (83%, 80%), Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (84%, 83%) and even Assassin’s Creed Origins (85%, 81%) received better scores. The latest part received ratings comparable to Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, but it is worth remembering that this title debuted on the market 8 years ago.
On the one hand, journalists praise Assassin’s Creed Mirage for its engaging story, great use of stealth in the gameplay and extensive accessibility options – many texts confirm that the title is a true “return to the roots”. Among the positive opinions you will also find information about the well-made world, and there is plenty of content waiting for those interested. The developers also did not disappoint in the case of smooth running around the city (parkour) and developed interesting missions.
At the same time, editors confirm problems with optimization (even on PS5), the game has a surprisingly large number of errors, and in some texts you will find complaints about an empty city. The fight also does not impress the general public, and some journalists also mention boring characters and a poorly conducted main plot – the story is one of the elements that some people praise, while others complain about the events presented.
