Since the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, players have been complaining about an exaggerated chromatic aberration filter that cannot be turned off in the game. Ubisoft has already promised improvement.
Under heavy criticism, Ubisoft will change image parameters in Assassin’s Creed Mirage on PC and consoles. The French publisher informed fans that it will not only allow you to turn off chromatic aberration in the game option, but that this filter will be deactivated by default. This is basically an admission of a mistake – Mirage entered the market with an excessively soft, degraded image , with a very strong chromatic aberration, as we wrote about in more detail in this news.
When can we expect this update to be released? Ubisoft declared on October 23 that the release of this patch will take place “at the end of the month”, so we expect this patch to be released within a few days.
“We are working to address your criticism regarding chromatic aberration in the game. In the upcoming update that you will receive at the end of the month, chromatic aberration will be disabled by default on all platforms. You will also have the option to turn it on or off in the image options,” the employee stated Ubisoft.
