The creators of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 intend to leverage the new gameplay type to urge players to purchase the complete edition of the game. Escape from Tarkov is supposed to have inspired the studio.
The editors of Whatifgaming and Ralph Valve have discovered a new game mode being developed for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – as you may know, the game will contain a full campaign, PVP combat, and cooperative missions, but the writers are planning to give another form of the game.
According to Insider, “Project Nexus” is a new mode for which nearly “every studio controlled by Activision” is responsible. The makers chose free-to-play gameplay because it is this part that is designed to entice players to purchase the complete edition of the game.
Project Nexus has apparently been in development for approximately four years and has undergone numerous alterations during that time; it is currently designed to transport players to an open world:
The rumored “DMZ” mode in Modern Warfare II is described as an “Open-World” title, with an extensive storyline that continues the campaign: a chronicle of characters, fronts, and quests that include aspects of PvE and PvP events. A colleague suggested that this mode will be released independently in beta form given its current pre-alpha status in game development. “
DMZ is set to release in the first quarter of 2023, assuming that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 satisfy expectations.
