Microsoft has provided the Competition and Markets Authority with several remedies, one of which states that the business will ensure that an identical version of Activision’s shooter is available across all of its supported platforms. Those who buy a PS5 do not need to be concerned about the mediocre quality of the Call of Duty games.
As Microsoft completed its purchase of Activision Blizzard, Sony’s official position is that the company is concerned that future versions of Call of Duty on PlayStation platforms would not meet the quality standards the company has set. An American firm felt obligated to respond to this ludicrous claim, and in doing so, they developed an intriguing notion.
Microsoft has acknowledged, in their most recent application to the CMA, that a designated person will check the version of Call of Duty on all systems, and that the game would be delayed if the title on PlayStation 5 does not show the proper quality.
#Microsoft‘s remedy proposal to the #CMA even envisions this: “In serious cases of non-compliance, the Adjudicator will have the power to delay the release of the CoD title until appropriate steps have been taken to ensure compliance.” => thus no release without parity, period

The memo contained a particular proposal for PlayStation: Microsoft would give Sony “equality in terms of release date, content, features, upgrades, quality, and playability” in comparison to the American company’s platform.
Nevertheless, further perks including, for instance, early access to new skins were out of the question for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 users.
