Numerous Witcher projects are in development at CD Projekt, ranging from an open-world recreation of the original game to a brand-new trilogy of mainline titles. Additionally, The Molasses Flood’s Project Sirius spinoff is in development. However, in recent weeks, its progress encountered a minor setback after CD Projekt announced that its production was being restarted.
It appears that the process is now finished. The corporation announced “the conclusion of work on defining a new framework for Project Sirius” in a recent regulatory release.
While CD Projekt does confirm that the framework will result in a “partial reversal” of 21.5 million PLN against its impairment allowance of 33.4 million PLN and that part of the development expenditures, amounting to 2.7 million PLN, will also be written off, it is unclear exactly what that entails in terms of the scope and nature of the game as per its new vision.
CD Projekt RED is presently working on the expansion Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, which will be followed by a full-fledged sequel with the working title Project Orion. This is in addition to their several Witcher projects.
