CD Projekt RED has just released a new patch for Cyberpunk 2077, improving the title and removing errors that appeared after the largest update in history. Players using PlayStation 5 should not worry about gameplay saves.
In September, the futuristic Night City was enriched with a story expansion in the style of a spy thriller and update 2.0 introducing a number of changes to the most important elements of the production. However, the Polish studio quickly announced further improvements as part of patch 2.01.
As previously announced, CD Projekt RED has published update 2.01 – the file package is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and is a response to the most common errors. Additionally, the developers looked at the overall performance of Cyberpunk 2077, especially in Dogtown.
Patch 2.01 contains fixes for Phantom Liberty, including shortcomings during individual missions, visual improvements to animations, lighting, special effects and some scenes, and what’s more, the developers focused on missions and the open world – the issue of individual weapons, completing tasks and their activation.
PlayStation 5 players can now rest assured about their game saves, although saves damaged before the update will not be repaired. All users should experience improvements in performance, holders of pre-orders of Phantom of Freedom can receive a bonus resulting from an earlier purchase, and those using the Ukrainian localization will experience improvements in translation – we informed about this a few days ago.
