Dambuster Studio hasn’t given up on zombies yet. According to the latest reports shared by Tom Henderson on Insider Gaming, the creators may be tempted to add as many as two additions. Players can expect an interesting gameplay mode called Neighborhood Watch.
Dead Island 2 debuted with a bang after many years of delays and changes, but the production has been a bit quiet for some time. However, the lack of announcements should not mislead us, because in the following months the team may expand the bloody adventure with at least two expansions – Haus and SOLA Festival – and the first of them would be available on the market at the end of this year. The second expansion will probably debut in the second quarter of 2024.

Neighborhood Watch was described by Henderson as a “new experience” in which three players first prepare their base and then fend off attacks from a horde of zombies.
The premise of this mode is simple: over the course of five in-game days, you must prepare your defense by setting traps, finding and obtaining weapons, scavenging for supplies, and more. To obtain these items, players are given a number of different objectives to choose from each day, ranging in difficulty from 1 to 5 stars.
Therefore, we should not expect an extensive story – it is simply about action and intense combat – although the creators will provide objectives of various levels of difficulty. Players will choose from a variety of missions, and those most prepared for brutal clashes will immediately face the most difficult tasks (5 stars).
According to sources, Neighborhood Watch will be a great experience for experienced players, so it will be necessary to choose experienced partners for the game.
