In addition to revealing the first piece of key art for Season of the Deep and increasing the cost of Season Passes, Bungie also discussed the new Strand Aspects that will be available in Destiny 2: Lightfall. They may be accessed from the Pouka Pond once the new pursuit has been finished and become available on the 23rd of May, which is the first day of the new season.
Threaded Specter (Threadrunner), Flechette Storm (Berserker), and The Wanderer (Broodweaver) are the new Aspects. When Hunters activate their Class ability, which draws the attention of surrounding foes, Threaded Specter will produce a Strand decoy for them. When it has sustained sufficient damage, or when adversaries are close by, it will burst, releasing two Threadlings into the environment.
When a Titan slide while using a charged melee attack, the Flechette Storm ability is activated. They will leap into the air and attempt to knock foes away in order to deal damage. To launch the Unraveling missiles, activate the charged melee attack once more while in the air. You can unleash additional projectiles by pressing multiple melee charges if you have them available.
When all is said and done, The Wanderer transforms Tangles into Wanderers. When you throw these, they will seek out nearby foes, explode, and suspend both them and other targets in the area. Anything that generates Tangles will also open the door for Threadling to deliver the last strikes.
In the upcoming Season of the Deep, one of the many upcoming changes will be the addition of new Aspects. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more information on this and other upcoming improvements.
