It’s no secret that the announcement of Diablo 4 with internal testing back in 2019 was far too soon and that it was a mistake. Long the action role-playing game has been in the works for a while, there has been some turbulence and controversy behind the scenes at Activision Blizzard, which has hampered the development of the game, particularly with the turnover in leadership positions. However, it appears that the game is making some development at the moment.
Activision Blizzard revealed in its most recent quarterly financial report that production on both Diablo 4 with internal testing and Overwatch 2 is “progressing well.” As a matter of fact, the former appears to have reached a critical production milestone and is currently being internally playtested “across the board.”
In any case, there is currently little to no indication as to when the game would be released. In November of last year, Activision Blizzard announced that Diablo 4 had been delayed– despite the fact that the game didn’t have a specific release date at the time.
As previously stated, Activision Blizzard has also confirmed that Diablo Immortal will be released for iOS and Android devices in June, with a PC version to follow later in the year in open beta.
