Nippon Ichi Software worked hard on a worthy continuation of the Disgaea brand, which was somewhat in danger after the failure of “six”. Now, however, Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is set to save the situation.
Disgaea 6 received the weakest ratings in practically the entire history of this series and cast a considerable shadow of doubt on whether NIS had not started eating its own tail. After all, they release new installments quite often, and there were no changes worthy of being called the next generation of the series.
Now Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless has debuted on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The first reviews indicate that the Japanese have done their homework and “7” is one of the best installments of the series. The average rating of 81% indicates a significant improvement, and so far only the first two parts of Disgaea and Disgaea 4+ Complete for Nintendo Switch were better.
