The first DLC for the horror-themed fishing game Dredge, which was developed by an independent firm called Black Salt Games, has been revealed. The addition, which will be available for a price of $5.99 when it launches on November 16 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms, will bear the name The Pale Reach. Have a look at the promotional video for the expansion below.
Dredge: The Pale Reach is the first piece of paid DLC that will be published for the game. It adds quite an amount of new material to the game, including a new biome that requires players to make significant equipment investments. The new biome will be an ice expanse, and the players will have to negotiate their way through chilling depths and crystalline canyons in order to get to the other side.
When it comes to the fundamental fishing gameplay of Dredge, The Pale Reach will bring with it 11 new fish and crab species to capture, as well as new aberrated counterparts for the new targets. In addition, The Pale Reach will also bring with it new aberrated counterparts for the new targets.
The Iron Rig was supposed to be released as downloadable content for Dredge later on in 2018, however, the developer stated in September that it would be pushing back the expansion to some point in 2024. The developer said that it needed more time to work on the subsequent expansion.
