The earliest landscapes and cities in Euro Truck Simulator 2 appear a little bit shabby in comparison to the new ones because the game has been out for 11 years now, which makes it impossible to keep the quality of the entire game at the same level. SCS Software, on the other hand, has plans to alter that.
It is well known that the Czech studio that is responsible for creating the best truck driving simulators in the world also takes extremely excellent care of its community and makes every effort to satisfy its devoted fans in any manner possible. This time, while the developers were taking a break from working on additional expansions – as most of us are aware, work on Hearth of Russia has been put on hold, and West Balkans is still in the works – they came up with the idea to throw a bit of a surprise party for their players.
It has come to our attention that work on the “remake” of the older cities that have been added to the game over the course of the past 11 years has begun. This time it was the German town of Erfurt, which was pretty run down and was not especially memorable in the original version of the story. Now, however, this is set to change, as evidenced by the screenshots given by SCS Software; the entire thing can be found in our gallery.
