The producer of Final Fantasy 14, Naoki Yoshida, was in London for the recent Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival, where he revealed the first of two new jobs that will be added to the game with the next addition, Dawntrail. The job, which will do melee damage and go by the name Viper, can be shown in action in the new video that can be found below.
When doing damage to foes, the Viper Job makes use of two blades that may be held in one hand each. Additionally, the class has access to unique powers that allow the blades to be connected to one another, transforming the weapon into a single, two-handed sword with double-sided cutting surfaces that may be used to do damage to foes.
Additional information on Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail has been disclosed, such as the knowledge that the 24-player Alliance Raid series will be known as Echoes of Vana’diel and that it will be a crossover event with the MMORPG Final Fantasy 11, which was released before. In addition, the name Tuliyollal has been given to one of the new cities that will be included in the expansion.
In addition to this, players will have the opportunity to explore new regions, such as the desert territory of Shaaloani and the tropical region of Kozama’uka. Along their journey, players will have the opportunity to become friends with Moblins, a new Allied tribe that will be included in the expansion.
The release date for Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail has not been set as of yet; however, the game is expected to be available sometime around the summer of 2024.
