Final Fantasy 16’s long-awaited demo may now be downloaded on the PS5 from the PlayStation Store. ElAnalistaDeBits investigated the resolution and frame rate for the same, but as always, the performance of the finished game may differ.
The graphics settings in Final Fantasy 16 are Quality and Performance. The former has a resolution that has been upscaled from 1440p to 2160p/30 FPS. Upscaling from 1080p to 1440p/60 FPS is used in Performance Mode. With increased anisotropic filtering, render resolution, and post-processing effects like light god rays, Quality Mode offers greater quality shadows.
Intriguingly, Performance Mode doesn’t always maintain 60 frames per second and sometimes drops to 40 in action-packed sequences. Cinematics are limited to 30 frames per second regardless of mode. The loading times are fortunately “practically non-existent.”
On June 22nd, Final Fantasy 16 will be released for the PlayStation 5. Check back then for more in-depth graphical comparisons.
