Epic Games has decided to eliminate one of the most important features of Battle Royale Fortnite in preparation for the launch of the new season, removing the building feature that players relied on to dodge and reach their goals for nine days to celebrate the start of the new season.
The new Fortnite season bears the name Resistance and brings with it a new Battle Pass filled with outfits and first-time characters like Doctor Strange from the Marvel universe while waiting screens signal when you try the game to give up the building feature with the phrase “All Battle, No Building.”
The new season focuses on the classes The Resistance, The Seven, and Imagined Orders in a multi-season storyline, and while the building feature will be removed from the default play mode, competitive modes will not be affected by this decision, nor will it affect Creative Mode, which allows players to create their own maps and play styles that They prefer it.
This move comes after the criticism of the royal battle game in the last period due to the exaggerated focus on the building feature, as the competition has shifted from getting rid of your opponents to who can build the tallest tower in the fastest time.
The movement system also received a major change, with the game’s default movement speed increased, the ability to run faster, the Mantling system added to the game, as well as the ability to open doors while moving with a shoulder strike.
Eventually, Epic Games announced that from March 20, 2022, until April 3, 2022, all proceeds from the game will be donated to help the war in Ukraine.
