The rumored delay in the announcement of the release date for God of War Ragnarok has sparked much debate about the game’s actual launch window. Tom Henderson, a well-known industry insider and freelance writer who contributes to Exputer, has speculated that the game will be released on November 11. This is consistent with speculations expressed in past rumors on the launch of the game.
The basis for Henderson’s hypothesis is an extrapolation of release dates for other titles that occurred around the same time. Given that the next installment of Need for Speed is rumored to be released on November 4, and that Ubisoft‘s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is also rumored to be released on November 18, it is likely that the next installment of God of War, Ragnarok, will be launched between the two titles. This theory also takes into account Sony’s custom of releasing its first-party games on Fridays once it has been established.
Additionally, information regarding the Collector’s Editions of God of War Ragnarok is disclosed in Henderson’s piece on Exputer. It has been decided that the collector’s editions will be known as the Collector’s Edition and the Jotnar Edition respectively.
The Jotnar Edition will only include the Mjolnir hammer and a copy of the game, despite the fact that it is rumored that both editions will have a replica of the Mjolnir hammer at a scale of 1:1. The Collector’s Edition, on the other hand, will include a greater quantity of goods. These will include a map of the game as well as a few badges.
In light of the fact that the announcement has been delayed, Sony Santa Monica creative director Cory Barlog has just taken to Twitter in order to communicate with fans. Fans were requested to have patience by Barlog, who stated that announcements will be made when they were ready to be made.
These rumors, like all others, should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism, as is the case with all rumors. Even while a launch on November 11 for God of War: Ragnarok is a distinct possibility, Sony has not as of yet given their official blessing to the date.
