The series, which has been a key IP in the PlayStation library for years, made its market premiere on March 22, 2005. The God of War universe had a new beginning on the previous generation, but the creators didn’t ignore the first phase.
Santa Monica Studio debuted a series in 2005 that was well-liked by many players. God of War II was released in 2007, followed by God of War III in 2010, God of War: Ascension in 2013, God of War in 2018, and God of War Ragnarok last year.

However, it’s important to remember that Santa Monica Studio created a racing game before releasing the first God of War. Kinetica was passed up for the original PlayStation because Sony wanted the creators to take advantage of the PS2’s capabilities and release the game for the second machine made by the Japanese company.
In addition to Kinetica, the developers’ own engine was also used in God of War, God of War II, SOCOM US Navy SEALs, and Kinetica.
God of War Ragnarok made its premiere last year, and while Santa Monica Studio wishes to continue creating IP, at least as of right now, the business has not made its future intentions official.
