Obsidian Entertainment is ready for Grounded to have its full release. After working on the game for two years, the studio is getting ready to release an update that will add a full campaign and a surprise for fans of survival games.
At this year’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, experienced developers said that they are almost done with Grounded and that the final version will be available soon. Since the announcement, it hasn’t been long, but the team has good news: the game will come out on Xbox and PC on September 27.
Grounded version 1.0 will include, among other things, a full campaign that can be played alone or with other people. Players will also be able to make new gear (armor, weapons), fight a giant praying mantis, and see overall improvements. With the latest and final patch for the early version, you can expect changes to the armor system and other improvements.
The update also adds a mysterious feature called “Homestretch,” which will be explained in more detail at a later date.
One of the few Xbox Game Studios games for 2022 is Grounded. The biggest releases from Microsoft have been pushed back to 2023. Because of this, we may learn more about Forza Motorsport, Starfield, and Redfall in the coming months.
Even though Grounded is a smaller project, the fact that it was well received made the creators want to keep working on IP. The story of the characters who were cut down will be told again in the form of animations.
