The organizers of Games Done Quick have decided that they will not be providing any financial support for products connected to J.K. Rowling. Because of this, we will not be able to participate in the upcoming events that are intended to raise money for those who are in need; Hogwarts Legacy will not be present.
Even though the creators of Hogwarts Legacy dissociated themselves in some way from the writer’s opinion and even introduced the first transgender character to the universe, the organizers of Games Done Quick decided to completely dissociate themselves from the production despite the fact that the controversy surrounding J.K. Rowling continues unabated.
Games Done Quick refreshed the list of productions that are unable to appear at following events, and now there are things from the Harry Potter series and Hogwarts Legacy listed with titles like Five Nights at Freddy’s and God of War (2005). These productions cannot appear at subsequent events.
The list of games that are not allowed is not very long, but the organizers have made it clear that they are open to reconsidering their decision about Hogwarts Legacy.
Players get the chance to show off their abilities in lightning-fast gameplay, and the community makes donations in order to support those in need of financial assistance.
