Horizon Forbidden West‘s size has been revealed according to Twitter user PlayStation Game Size, who is notorious for scraping the PlayStation Network’s back end for game information. Without a day-one patch, Guerrilla Games’ upcoming game appears to be a massive beast, weighing in at 85.913 GB in the US and 96.350 GB in Europe. The Japanese SKU has yet to be added to the database.
Due to localization files and support for a range of languages, European versions of video games tend to be larger in size. It’s worth mentioning, as PlayStation Game Size points out, that certain titles appear to be larger in size on PlayStation’s database than they are on console, with differences ranging from 10 to 20 GB. Nonetheless, Horizon Forbidden West is still over 70 GB at a minimum, and no information on a day-one patch is available at this time. If you prefer to buy your games digitally, invest in an external SSD if you haven’t already.
At this time, there is no information on Horizon Forbidden West’s PS4 size. When we learn more, we’ll be sure to inform our readers.

On February 18th, Horizon Forbidden West will be released. On February 11th, you can start pre-loading the game a week ahead of time. Unless your connection isn’t good enough, in which case we recommend getting the disc, you’ll have plenty of time to download the entire game. Prior to making that decision, you might want to keep an eye on your data cap.
