Daniel Craig will no longer wear the Agent 007 suit, but it turns out that the studio responsible for the Hitman games remembers his appearances in the “James Bond” series. The latest production is apparently intended to provide a pleasant experience that we know from recent films.
In November 2020, IO Interactive confirmed work on a new game, but this time the developers did not present another Hitman adventure. The creators revealed Project 007 – the experienced studio received the well-known license.
James Bond still needs time and the developers still haven’t presented even a single fragment of the gameplay, but the topic of the game was taken up by Hakan Abran. In a conversation with Edge, the CEO of IO Interactive suggested that their vision of James Bond is closer to the latest films starring Daniel Craig, which will certainly be well received by many players.
The creators also want to offer action with a specific scenario – this time we will not get a large map and full freedom, as in the case of Hitman games.
A few other crumbs we managed to find around the office suggest a tone closer to Daniel Craig than Roger Moore, and perhaps a more scripted experience than Hitman’s free-form outings.
IO Interactive will create a completely new Agent 007, so players will not control the aforementioned Daniel Craig, but apparently we can count on a similar tone of events.
The game has been described as “the ultimate espionage fantasy” and Edge suggests that it is related to the hardware – James Bond in IO Interactive’s vision is to receive a number of gadgets that will allow him to complete subsequent missions.
