Although the video game industry is one of those in which we are dealing with many examples of long-term attachment to one company and something like loyalty to the main employer, of course, nothing lasts forever. Even the most dedicated creators leave their jobs after a long time and decide to try their hand at other places – no matter how high up they leave.
One such example is Halo series veteran Joseph Staten, who confirmed last night to our time that he is leaving Microsoft . This is a very interesting situation, because not so long ago he resigned from working on Halo Infinite (where he was a creative director) to move to Xbox Game Studios Publishing. And I have to admit that this is a very unexpected move and a big loss for Microsoft itself.
It is worth adding that in the social media entry itself Staten said that he will have more information on this subject, which he will share at a later date. Moreover, he revealed that it is time for him to “go on a new adventure”. This may herald that it is by no means about the burnout of the industry itself , which has happened many times before.
Hey folks, I am indeed leaving Microsoft. I’ll have more info to share soon, but for now, I’d just like to thank all my @Xbox colleagues for all their understanding and support as I embark on a new adventure. https://t.co/oMR0LXOzZb
