Killer Instinct had its Xbox One debut on November 22, 2013, and ten years later, the game’s creators revealed a new version. Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition will bring along a lot of enhancements and breathe new life into the Double Helix production.
Fighting game enthusiasts won’t be able to lament the lack of attractions in 2023, but Microsoft intends to help. Although the exact release date is yet unknown, Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition will soon be available for purchase.
The fighting game’s updated version will have all 29 combatants in addition to premium features like a VIP Double XP Booster and exclusive holiday accessories.
Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition will disappear from the market, but if you own this set, you will be able to take advantage of a free update to Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition. The item in an expanded (new) edition will be available for $29.99, although we will not buy other editions or individual fighters.
The new version will not include some “adult content”, i.e. the Definitive Edition App and Xbox KI Classic 1 & 2, but Definitive Edition owners will still be able to download these items.
Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition is currently available for PLN 61.04 (promotion from PLN 184.99), so if you want to pick up an improved edition in the future, it is worth taking advantage of this offer. The developers also confirmed a free version of Killer Instinct, which will hit the market and provide one free fighter per week. The production will include modes such as single-player, local battles and ranking battles.
Iron Galaxy (the authors of the latest version) are working on a “massive update” that will address all the title’s problems and balance changes.
