The Lego video games have been around since the 1990s, crossing over with many different IPs and companies. Lego video games are here to stay, thanks to franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Indiana Jones. This trend continues today, with fresh gameplay for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Emperor Palpatine, Kylo Ren, and Darth Vader, among other renowned villains, make debuts in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which collects adventures from the major nine Star Wars films. A new trailer for the Skywalker Saga was also shown at the Future Games Exhibition Spring 2022 showcase, which you can watch below.
The game appears to cover each of the main nine Star Wars films, however, the scale is unknown at this time. It’s unclear whether the game will follow in the footsteps of 2007’s Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which covered major scenes from the films, but considering the appearance of characters like General Grievous, it’s likely.
The teaser also provided a little view of the game’s fighting, and based on how the brief part with General Grievous went, it appears like the game will use a lock-on system like other action games. The teaser also includes additional iconic scenes from the films, including the Darth Maul duel from Episode I and the Cloud City conclusion from Episode V.
A release date has also been set for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Last year, it was postponed and didn’t have a release date, but now it does. The Skywalker Saga will hit theaters on April 5th, 2022, and pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will include a limited-edition Lego Minifigure of Luke Skywalker holding blue milk.
On April 5th, 20th, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released.
