As a result of releasing two excellent horror platformers over the course of the past few years in the form of Little Nightmares and its sequel, Little Nightmares 2, the Swedish development studio Tarsier Studios has amassed a sizeable fan base for itself. There are many people who are eagerly awaiting the next thing that the developer will disclose, and it appears like we are going to find out very soon.
This is due to the fact that Tarsier Studios appears to be teasing its upcoming game. The game designer recently posted a short video on Twitter in which he shows a tall, abandoned building, then a solitary vehicle driving down a road, and then a fleeting view of what appears to be a multi-limbed monstrosity perched on top of the previously mentioned structure. The entirety of it is accompanied by music that is rather ominous, and the tweet is accompanied by a short message that says, “We’ve been working.”
Although it is extremely brief, it looks that the game is going to be pretty different from Little Nightmares, despite the fact that it will probably still be very much a horror experience. Based on what it shows, it seems like the game is going to be quite different from what it shows.
In terms of when it might be announced, the month of June features a plethora of gaming expos and conventions, such as the Summer Game Fest Showcase, the PC Gaming Show, the Future Games Show, and the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. If Tarsier is going to make an announcement in the near future, it’s possible that we’ll hear about it at one of those events.
The Embracer Group completed the acquisition of Tarsier Studios in the year 2019. The previous year, it was established that the developer was working on a new intellectual property (IP), while at the same time, the publisher and owner of the Little Nightmares IP, Bandai Namco, established other titles in the horror IP will be developed by other companies.
