Over the course of the year, the Nintendo Switch will be home to a number of high-profile exclusives, with LIVE A LIVE, a legendary SNES role-playing game that was never released in North America, being the most fascinating of the bunch. We’re also getting more and more glimpses of the game as its release date draws ever closer.
For example, Square Enix just released two new videos focused on two of the many various stories set over vastly disparate time periods in the game, both of which can be found here. For the Prehistory period, players will take on the role of caveman Pogo, who will find himself in the middle of a tribal battle. There will be no dialogue throughout the story, which is suitable for this period of history, and players will be able to interact with other cavemen.
Second, Imperial China follows the narrative of the Earthen Heart Shifu, an elderly kung fu teacher who is driven to locate his next great student who will take over as Shifu. Take a look at the trailers for both films below.
LIVE A LIVE will be released on the Nintendo Switch on July 22nd and will be the first game to do so.
