Pirate Coins are only one of the many systems and currencies to get your head around in Lost Ark. It’s simply one of the numerous currencies in Lost Ark, and unlike the more obvious currencies like gold or silver, it’s not exactly clear how to get additional Pirate Coins or even what you should do with them.
Finding out how to obtain Pirate Coins, like so many other things in Lost Ark, can feel perplexing at first. It’s not difficult to earn the coins once you know how, but it’s more difficult to figure out what you should spend them on. This article will explain what you should do with your Pirate Coins and how to get them.
What Pirate Coins Are Used For
Pirate Coins are largely used to upgrade your ship’s resources and recruit crew members from various merchants found on Arkesia’s waters, making navigation easier. The better your modifications, the easier it will be to sail the great seas without fear of things going wrong. While you will earn a number of ships throughout your journey, the Estoque, the initial ship, is more than enough to get you through the game. Prior to devoting resources to the other ships in your collection, concentrate on upgrading it to roughly level 5.
Pirate Coins can also be used to purchase a few one-of-a-kind things from a variety of maritime merchants. The Song of Resonance is the most important of these, as it is required to unlock hidden places and new islands for several tasks. The Song of Resonance may be purchased by 16,500 Pirate Coins from Treasure Hunter Igran near Peyto, an island west of Annika. You may also buy a Giant’s Heart for 33,000 Pirate Coins, which can be used to unlock crucial things like stat and skill enhancement potions, which you’ll want to get your hands on.
How To Earn Pirate Coins
The number of coins required for items like the Song of Resonance may appear to be vast, but if you know what you’re doing, they won’t take long to get. Completing Island missions is the quickest and most efficient way to acquire Pirate Coins. These are quest chains that may be found on many of the game’s many islands and can reward you with a large number of coins for a short amount of time. For example, completing a single mission on Giant Mushroom Island can earn you 2,000 coins, whereas quests on Freedom Island can earn you 15,000 coins. That should be sufficient to purchase Song of Resonance, and it shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes. On Golden Wave Island, Runaways Island, Peyto and Glacier Island, Sublime Island, Blackfang’s Den, Lullaby Island, and other islands, you can earn coins. Start with islands that offer smaller quantities of coins, upgrade your ship with them, and work your way up to islands that award higher amounts of cash.
It should be noted that these tasks can only be completed once per account. Because Pirate Coins are an account-wide currency, you won’t be able to accomplish these objectives and collect the prizes on different characters. After you’ve done the majority of the more lucrative Island Quests, you’ll want to complete Una’s Tasks, which award Pirate Coins on a daily and weekly basis. To gain more Pirate Coins, complete numerous Marine events as well as activities found with the Procyron’s Compass, such as Ghost Ships. Other currency, such as Sun Coins, Gienah’s Coins, or Ancient Coins, can be exchanged for Pirate Coins at the Tea and Libra Guild Vessel, which can be found docked outside all major ports. The exchange prices for these coins vary, but you’ll get at least 10 Pirate Coins for each coin you swap for, which can quickly replenish your bank account.
