The next game will not be developed by Luminous Productions, and the studio will not serve as Square Enix’s flagship studio. As a result of the fact that the team was not able to produce the Frey Holland adventure to its full potential, the members of the team will be assigned to the main studio of the Japanese firm.
In March of 2018, Luminous Productions was established, and the initial roster featured several of professionals who had previously contributed to the development of Final Fantasy XV. Previously, Hajime Tabata oversaw the development studio; however, he has since moved on from the group and is now working as an experienced Japanese developer for JP Games, Inc.
They were tasked with creating the first next-gen game for the Japanese company, which was supposed to attract players to the mysterious land of Athia. The young studio, which consisted of 150 developers, was supposed to be the flagship of Square Enix and the Luminous Engine. However, they were shut down before they could complete their work. Sadly, the item did not receive the welcome that was anticipated by the audience.
The makers of Forspoken have their job cut out for them since the game garnered ratings ranging from 63 to 64%, and they are now working on more enhancements to the game. Square Enix did not disregard the seriousness of the situation and moved fast to respond to it. The primary development division of Square Enix is going to absorb Luminous Studios. At the moment, experts will not produce a title under their own brand anymore; rather, they will work directly for the primary department instead.

Because the Japanese had high hopes for the success of the adventure, which was also marketed by Sony, the link is undoubtedly connected to Forspoken’s collapse. The creators promise to continue making improvements to the show.
