Asobo Studio has not forgotten about its last year’s title. The developers have just announced the preparation of an update, thanks to which owners of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be able to experience the game in 60 frames per second.
A Plague Tale: Requiem debuted last year and current-gen consoles had a big problem with taming the production. The title ran only at 30 frames per second, and even in this situation you could feel animation drops during the game.
However, the developers have been quietly working on an update that should please many players – A Plague Tale: Requiem has received a patch ensuring 60 frames per second in the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Developers have prepared a performance mode that reduces the quality of graphics, but remember that this is only an option – we can still choose Resolution Mode and enjoy a refined image. The studio has not confirmed the full details, but Performance Mode “lowers the resolution” to ensure the expected smoothness of the animation.
New options have appeared on PC, thanks to which players will be able to “optimize” the game and on all platforms (including XSS) the team has addressed the bugs. Next week, A Plague Tale: Requiem on the Switch version will also receive a patch offering gameplay in 60 frames – although it should be remembered that this is a cloud release.
