It has been rumored that Rockstar would not revise Grand Theft Auto 4 or Red Dead Redemption, but the developers want to release Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X | S. The updated edition of the game will take advantage of the capabilities of the most recent gaming systems, which will undoubtedly be met with enthusiasm by a number of gamers.
Rockstar was intended to stop working on the Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption remasters, but the game designers have decided that they will not totally stop working on the updated versions of their most successful games. According to rumors, the firm aims to add more content to Red Dead Redemption 2.
A Rockstar insider named Tez2 responded to a player’s question and stated that the developer is working on a next-generation version of Red Redemption 2. Tez2 is the same person that disclosed the resignation from the GTA 4 and RDR upgrade projects.
Insider does not have any particular information regarding when we will be able to play the game natively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, but it appears that Rockstar intends to make use of this opportunity to deliver additional ports.
It is safe to say that the creators of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5 and XSX | S will have to devote a lot less time and effort to the project than they did to the maintenance of Grand Theft Auto 4 or the production of the original Red Dead Redemption. The developers are able to take care of the port that we see in the case of GTA 5; after all, the game has been revived over the past few months, and the third edition has just made its appearance on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.
A RDR2 update for PS5 & XSX is planned at some point down the road. No idea when tho.
