The sequel to the Souls-inspired metroidvania game Salt and Sanctuary, titled Salt and Sacrifice, is now available for purchase on Steam for personal computers and the Nintendo Switch. The game, which was once accessible only on PS4, PS5, and the Epic Games Store on PC, has just been validated for play on Steam Decks in preparation for its debut on Steam.
The player takes on the role of a Marked Inquisitor, who has been recruited to battle Corrupted Mages that are wreaking havoc over the Kingdom of Altarstone. As they embark on their mission to rid the land of impurities, players will have the option of choosing one of eight distinct beginning classes, each of which features a distinctive approach to the game.
Players will need to track down the Mages by gathering clues as they go through the many zones in Salt and Sacrifice in order to advance in their Mage hunts. Players may accomplish this by exploring each area of the game. Players may expect to confront opponents such as Pyromancers, Venomancers, and even Corpumancers throughout their adventures. Once these Mages have been vanquished, players will be able to use their bones in the creation of new weapons and armor.
Co-op play and player vs. player invasions are both available in Salt and Sacrifice. This game supports multiplayer across several platforms.
