It is possible to say that we are dealing with a story of infinite delays while speaking about Sons of the Forest, which is a continuation of the 2018 film The Forest, which earned positive reviews. It is difficult to keep track of the number of times that the publication date has been pushed back. In point of fact, I don’t even remember when the game was originally supposed to make its debut. However, I do belong to the camp of people who would rather have the game come out later, provided that it is presented as it should be.
And the people behind the aforementioned project appear to hold the same views. It just so happens that there has been yet another adjustment made with regard to the debut. You are surely aware that the production was meant to be released on February 23 (of course, just on PC), but it was delayed. Now, however, the developers have informed us that even though they do not change the debut date, and the position will actually be available on that day, it will not be in the form of a full version, but rather “only” Early Access. This news comes despite the fact that the developers do not change the debut date.
It seems more like an attempt to hedge against possible players’ complaints about the health of the project or its substance if you look at it that way. If you look at it that way, it doesn’t sound like a tragedy at all. On the other hand, if Sons of the Forest is methodically worked on to become better and better, then absolutely no one should have any issues with it. Now all that is left to do is search for the premiere and cross our fingers that the following three weeks won’t bring any unexpected developments.
