After introducing several popular PlayStation games to the PC platform in recent years, Sony has significantly increased its presence there. Despite this, the business is taking several actions that the majority of PC users are not likely to approve of.
As a ResetEra user recently discovered, Sony has been quietly raising the prices of a number of its titles across the Steam store in different countries, including games like Returnal, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and more. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Days Gone have price increases of varying degrees in a number of regions including Argentina, Japan, Canada, Colombia, China, South Korea, and Chile.
Price increases vary from address to address and country to country. In Argentina, for example, the price of games increased from 4199-5999 pesos to 8499-9999 pesos, while in Canada it increased from 59.99-69.99 dollars to 64.99-79.99 dollars, while in Japan the price increased from 4900-6490 yen to 6490-7590 yen. .
Sony has not yet officially reported anything regarding the said price increases, so it is currently unknown if the changes will be limited to Steam or if they will happen in other countries as well.
