The concept of “playing on the Netflix platform” continues to turn off some receivers, but the industry leader in streaming is not giving up and plans to add more popular titles on its servers in the near future. Numerous projects are already being worked on by corporate teams.
Netflix has very ambitious plans to offer the most engaging content on the platform. By the end of 2023, customers will have access to 86 games, and another 90 games are yet to be released on the servers.
In an effort to draw in gamers, the company consistently gives customers access to new television shows, movies, and documentaries. The first installment of Zack Snyder’s new series “Rebel Moon” will premiere in December, but it’s important to note that a game is also in development. In a cooperative game that Super Evil Megacorp is creating, we’ll be able to take on roles as the movie’s characters and work in groups of up to four to accomplish objectives.
Netflix wants to significantly expand its worlds, which is why it is focusing on games directly related to such IPs as “Virgin River”, “Squid Game”, “The Queen’s Gambit”, “Paper House” and “Chicken Run”. The SVOD giant’s teams are developing over 10 titles.
Numerous offerings from other developers will be available on the site; in addition to the already-mentioned Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, Sonic Mania Plus, FashionVerse, and Game Dev Tycoon, there are also some intriguing games like Monument Valley and Hades.
The games that are coming to the service and are currently playable on Netflix Games are shown in the released teaser.
