There is a possibility that one additional issue connected to the most recent project will arise for GSC Game World. Due to the most recent leak, development on STALKER 2 was intended to be halted; nonetheless, the creators are now faced with a unique issue.
The community was told about the operations of a Russian gang that decided to publish over 30GB of materials and information from STALKER 2 the week before last. The developers have already cautioned that they have no intention of working with the Russian community and that players should refrain from viewing the files because it is not in their best interest to do so.
The most up-to-date information suggests that the leak did, in fact, have an impact on the production of the game. STALKER’s original developers were supposed to fully halt all development on the expected position, and one of the devs was supposed to deliver the word to the public.
– Deleopment is on hold after March 11th. We simply can’t cut Russian language from the game because it’s the only language we implemented in the game so far. They took our access to the game and all it’s materials, we can’t work on it.#Stalker2 #Xbox pic.twitter.com/xOMJtYA2Rr

It would appear that the developers made the decision to switch to a different language; unfortunately, this decision once again had an effect on the work, and at the moment the majority of the studio is not working on STALKER. It is not impossible that the authors made this decision out of concern of additional server hacking. This is a very real possibility.
STALKER 2 is expected to make its debut on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the month of December, although we have not yet received confirmation of the game’s definitive release date.
