A fresh Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin patch is now available for PC and consoles, bringing a slew of bug fixes to Team Ninja’s game.
According to the PlayStation 4 version update history, the new patch, patch 1.02, is quite short on all platforms and appears to include various bug fixes and performance enhancements. We don’t know exactly what has changed with the patch because the official patch notes have yet to be released.
Following the release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin patch 1.02, I immediately tested it out on the PC version of the game, and performance appears to have improved marginally. At 4K and 1440p resolutions, Soul Bursts no longer cause the game to go into slow motion (as long as Ambient Occlusion is disabled), and the framerate feels a little more consistent, but dips still occur when there are several adversaries on screen.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is now available worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Xbox One S, and Xbox 360.
