After quite a bit of speculation over the same, Capcom officially unveiled Street Fighter 6 earlier this year. However, other than the game’s contentious new logo, there wasn’t much else about the brief teaser clip that was particularly memorable. At the time, Capcom stated that the game would be revealed in its entirety during the Summer, and it appears that the recently-announced State of Play event, which is scheduled to take place on June 2, could be where the game makes its debut.
Jeff Grubb, a writer, recently stated on Twitter that he believes Street Fighter 6 will be part of the State of Play broadcast. He also mentioned Capcom’s prior remark about a Summer unveiling for the game. Grubb’s statement included both of these pieces of information. Grubb says that based on what he’s heard, Street Fighter 6 is going to get its reveal “sooner than that.” While many people would assume that EVO 2022, which is scheduled to take place in August, would be a far more appropriate stage for a fighting game’s reveal, especially given the sizeable viewership of the competition, Grubb says that Street Fighter 6 is going to get its reveal “sooner than that.”
It goes without saying that none of it is fixed in stone in any way, and a portion of what Grubb has stated here is also based on speculation. The month of June in particular is going to have a number of major gaming events and showcases, so there are no guarantees that Street Fighter 6 will show up at State of Play. Despite the fact that Capcom and Sony have historically had a strong relationship, especially when it comes to Street Fighter, there are no guarantees that Street Fighter 6 will show up at State of Play.
Whatever the case may be, we should get an answer to this question in a reasonable amount of time, so stay tuned for further developments.
“exciting reveals from our third-party partners”
This is probably where SF6 shows up. It’s the one thing Capcom is definitely supposed to have for these summer reveals.

I think that they definitely go hard with SF6 at Evo. But I’ve heard that SF6 is getting its reveal sooner than that. We’ll see.
