Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, the third-person looter shooter developed by Massive, will be playable for free this weekend on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, according to an announcement made by Ubisoft. The event begins on the 18th of May and continues through the 21st of May. PC players can grab it from “The Division 2 Free Weekend tile” on the Epic Games Store or from the Free Games section of Ubisoft Connect.
Players of the game on PlayStation and Xbox can search for the game on the respective stores of their platforms and select “Try Free Demo.” As was the case with past free weekends, any progress made will be carried over to the full game (with the Standard and Ultimate Editions of Warlords of New York being discounted through May 25). Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus are subscription services that are required to play games online with other players.
The Division 2’s Year 5 Season 1 will begin at the beginning of June, making this a pretty ideal time to start playing the game. It adds a new mode called Descent, which features randomized advancement and leaderboards, as well as the Castle Rebuild feature. It has been decided that native versions for the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 will not be developed.
