Earlier this month DLSS 3 Frame Generation is being worked on for Elden Ring and Skyrim. And PureDark put out a video about this DLSS 3 Mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim yesterday.
In this video, PureDark simulated a CPU bottleneck to show how DLSS 3 Frame Generation improves frame rates. You can also expect your general performance to double, just like in other games that use DLSS 3.
Also, let’s not forget that Skyrim was never able to use multicore CPUs to their full potential. In fact, PC gamers had to change the game’s INI file to make it run better. So, DLSS 3 is a good way to get around these CPU bottlenecks. This is like what we saw in The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Destroy All Humans! 2 – New clothes.
I’m really excited about the fact that modders can add DLSS 3 Frame Generation to different games. And do you know what game it would help a lot? Grand Theft Auto 4 is the fourth game in the series. Yes, DLSS 3 Frame Generation is something that GTA 4 really needs. Even in 2024, it’s still a CPU-intensive game. So, let’s hope PureDark might think about adding it. That’s after the DLSS 3 Mods for Elden Ring and Skyrim came out, of course.
There is still no word on when this mod will be offered to the public. But, of course, we’ll let you know what’s going on.
