The gaming industry continues to feel the negative effects of Callisto Protocol’s poor results. It turns out that large layoffs affect not only the Striking Distance studio itself, from which even Glen Schofield escaped, but also other developers who helped in this project.
The Puny Human team, which had been operating in the gaming industry for 16 years, was disbanded. All developers from the company that worked, among others, on The Callisto Protocol (helping Glen Schofield) and Tribes of Midgard said goodbye to their positions.
The president of Puna Human talks about the “almost complete termination of operations” . A team of “over twenty hard-working people” was reduced to nothing. Mike Sanders blames this situation on “a customer who refused to pay for a previously placed order”, which deprived the company of financial liquidity.
It can be assumed that the situation has a lot to do with the commercial failure of The Callisto Protocol. Even Glen Schofield himself, who recently parted ways with Striking Distance Studios, distanced himself from the project.
