Last week, The Last Case of Benedict Fox debuted on Xbox and PC. For many months, Microsoft encouraged the position and showed materials at subsequent events, but in this case we cannot talk about a hit that will satisfy all players.
Plot Twist decided not to pre-release reviews of The Last Case of Benedict Fox, so we had to wait a few days to take a look at the opinions of players and journalists. Currently, the title collects ratings of 68% (Opencritic), but breaking down the opinions on individual platforms, we see 69% for the Xbox Series X version (Metacritic) and 60% for the PC edition (Metacritic).
Journalists praise, among other things, the artistic style, interesting story and interesting puzzles, but the title is characterized by frustrating combat and the gameplay becomes repetitive very quickly. Some of the editorial staff confirm that although The Last Case of Benedict Fox has its really good moments, ultimately the production does not impress in any place and evokes quite mixed feelings.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox also collects “mixed” opinions from players (67% of texts out of 167 are positive) and also in this case those interested praise the atmosphere, but at the same time complain about some of the puzzles, attacks of enemies located in another room (the player cannot react), and at the same time double jump does not work well and sometimes you can die due to inadequate character control.
