This year’s Tokyo Games Show gave us a lot of interesting announcements, including information that many fans of The Legend of Heroes brand have been waiting for for a long time. The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is coming to the West!
Like the vast majority of The Legend of Heroes installments, Kuro no Kiseki finally had to wait for a Western translation, thanks to which in the summer of 2024 we will be able to play The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak, which will be available on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, but no exact release date was given.
The game takes place in 1208, about a year after the events shown in The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie. The title takes players to the Calvard republic located in the eastern part of the continent of Zemuria. The country is struggling with various difficulties – after war reparations, it is experiencing unprecedented economic growth, but at the same time the uncontrolled influx of immigrants and the radical reforms of the new president are becoming a problem.
The story begins in Edith, the capital of the republic, where a young spriggan (underworld mercenary dealing with black work behind the scenes) Van Arkride receives a task that is the beginning of an intrigue that will leave its mark on Calvard. The plot focuses on people from the gray zone of society.
Finally, after 2 years after the Japanese premiere, we know that we will be able to read this interesting story. Below is a trailer announcing the Western release of the game.
