At least three works set on the world created by Andrzej Sapkowski are presently in development, and while CD Projekt previously acknowledged issues with The Witcher Sirius, recent developments have been positive. Developers are now focusing on certain tasks.
The Molasses Flood was taken over by a Polish business, and the developers are now forging ahead in the world of Andrzej Sapkowski. CD Projekt RED revealed as many as three games from the Witcher universe in October of last year, and a smaller team is in charge of one of the ventures.
According to a report from CD Projekt in March, the studio decided to “redefine the new framework” of the game and that two months would be sufficient for the team to be prepared to put in a lot of effort. The positive news is confirmed by the most recent report:
There are many indications that The Molasses Flood, in cooperation with CD Projekt, has taken care of a proper review of the production and, as a last resort, the developers are ready to implement the project in full form, and as a result, part of the development expenditure has been returned.
However, we cannot be sure when we will actually see the new, smaller Witcher. It remains to be hoped that the developers could save part of the project and the title will be based on it, which will help The Molasses Flood speed up the work.
